MXene Family

MXenes are atomic layers of transition metal carbides or nitrides, with a chemical formula of M

,(
n

is functional groups,MXenes were firstly reported in 2011, produced via chemical etching of MAX phases in HF acid. Owing to the high electrical conductivity and tunable functional groups, MXenes have a wide applications in the fields of batteries, supercapaictors, Electromagnetic Interference Shielding and composites. Benefiting to the plentiful components and unique crystalline structures, MXenes are the biggest family in 2D materials.

MAX Phases

MAX phases are a layered inorganic nonmetallic material with periodic arrangement. MAX phases are composed of alternating stacks of M
